This exercise is merely designed to trigger discussion of the diverse, and often inter-connected, causes of crime.Įxercise 1.2: Deciding what is crime prevention It is not possible in this Module to explore all causes of crime. Some crimes might be motivated by need, such as theft of food others might be motivated by greed, such as fraud to acquire greater wealth and assets others might be politically motivated, such as anti-government graffiti.
